What happened to Parker Controls?

It's simple, they were so good Carrier bought the company. Parker Controls were designed as an add on solution to temperature control problems of different areas serviced by one heating cooling system. The controls were the answer for the land lord whose phone would not stop ringing with tenant comfort complaints. Parker controls became Carrier/Parker. Carrier/Parker became Carrier Comfort Systems. After several generations of comfort systems, we are now at Carrier 3V packaged control systems. Over the years a problem solver has become an innovator. The old pneumatic boys have become a little uneasy. There is virtually nothing pneumatic controls can do that Carrier's 3V systems can't do using their electronic wizardry. Seems like you can barely hear that old air compressor clanging along.
