Challenges Integrating Old and New Technologies

Many building owners faced with control obsolescence are realizing how financially overwhelming it can be, unless of course their buildings were equipped with Carrier controls. Junction Mechanical has been busy refitting their customer's buildings with the Carrier 3 V technology. Relative seamless transition from old to new has been found to be easier than the original control fit-up. A building can be refitted in stages; the financial impact of a complete control refit can be spread out over months. A simple bus cable is run from the new controls to the modem or web server. The new controls are daisy chained and tied to the new bus wire as the different stages of the profect go along. If the building does not have a remote access at present, the control system can function as stand alone with full or limited end user access. Remote monitoring and control or in house head end can be added at any time.
